These seminars are comprised of eight consecutive sessions, held on Tuesday nights at 6:30 pm. They are comprised of both instruction and practice and are designed to improve improve specific skills such as:

Speech Organization

Selecting Speech Topics

Use of Visual Aids

Speech Language

Gestures and Other Body Language

Effective Use of Notes

Toastmasters International, a non-profit, educational organization, has been training members in improved communications and leadership techniques for more than 75 years, is the developer of this program.

Northwestern Toastmasters is the local sponsor of the program. The cost of materials for the program is $25 per participant. (This fee is waived for members of Northwestern Toastmasters who have not taken this program.) Any adult interested in improving his or her speaking, listening, and thinking skills is invited to participate.
